Jarasum Beyond

<Jarasum Beyond> is a representative brand performance of the Jarasum Jazz Festival, and is making its first debut on the festival stage with a new direction and artist lineup every year.

With the idea of creating a meaningful program that can coexist and coexist with domestic jazz musicians, Jarasum Jazz started the project from 2018, and is creating a new Jarasum Beyond program with various artists every year.


In 2018, <JAZZ MEETS Cho Yong-phil>, a jazz arrangement of his famous songs to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the singer Cho Yong-phil's debut, in 2019 <The Pianist: Lim Mijung/Lee Jiyoung/Ko Heean WITH Kim Kwang-min>, and in 2020, <The Guitarist: Charlie Jung, Cho Young-deok, Kim Suyu>, which consisted of three guitarists with their own distinct styles, were presented. In 2021, <彩溫 (Chae-On)>, composed of four female performers who are actively working with music, are Nam Yoosun (saxophone), Song Miho (bass), Suh Soojin (drums), and Oh Eunhye (piano) was on the stage performing various music.


2022 Jarasum Beyond 

<dunggi doobop Project>

In 2022, Jarasum Beyond expands the horizon of jazz and introduces <Dunggi Doobap Project>, a fusion of Korean traditional music and jazz expression with ㅡMinyo(national folk songs) as a motif. This project started with the Jazz X Minyo Project in 2021, which was a collaboration between Gyeonggi Minyo. This year, the repertoire has been expanded with Minyo from 5 regions across the country, and they will present a new song with a colorful composition. Bassist Lee Wonsool, who shows an excellent fusion of music genres, is the music director, and traditional music vocalist Kim Bora, geomungo player Hwang Jina, jazz guitarist Kim Donghwan, drummer Lee Doheon, and trumpeter Bae Sunyong will participate in the project together.
